The Tamashi Collective partnered with us to build a brand identity system that reflects its role as a venture studio blending business rigor with soulful creativity. Anthony, the TTC founder, came to us with the vision of building a brand identity that could evolve dynamically, balancing strategy, creativity, and adaptability. They wanted a system that could flex across contexts without losing clarity, much like the startups and founders Tamashi supports.
The challenge was to create a foundation that was both strong and versatile, allowing the brand to show up with consistency while leaving room for expression.
The logomark is a custom oval form inspired by traditional Wagara patterns, subtly shaped like the tamamushi beetle to reference transformation and intelligent design. At its center, a North Star emerges in negative space, symbolizing guidance and clarity at the heart of Tamashi’s mission.
The identity pattern is derived from the logomark, rotated to echo the beetle’s wing movement, an emblem of emergence and transformation. The Iridescent-inspired tones and the shapes flexibility introduce depth and motion, balancing the brand’s structured system with a sense of dynamic possibility.
The result is a flexible identity system expressed through the vibrant, creative and professional system. Together, it give Tamashi a versatile foundation to evolve, adapt, and resonate as the brand grows.
